Earthquakes that have rocked Italy since May 20 claimed at least 16 lives since they started, but Ferrari is trying to help ease the pain by holding a charity auction and directing the proceeds to the victims’ families.

Scheduled to be held next week, the auction will sell a series of products including a 599XX Evo. Rated with a commercial value at €1.3 million, the non-homologated Berlinetta represents some of the best technology ever produced by the supercar manufacturer. The car features a performance package with dedicated track-based research and development meant for the 2012-2013 racing season.

Those improved performance parts take the car from 700 to 740 hp from the 6.0-liter V12 engine and cut 77 lbs from the curb weight. The active aero package also allows for 52 percent more downforce during corners.

If you’re interested in bidding on something, but can’t afford the crazy price the car is likely to claim, the automaker will also be offering Prancing Horse watches and other items from the Ferrari Store, which is where the auction will be held.
